Participation  and General Terms

Only competitors who meet the following conditions may take part in the event:

  • Be a national of the country they represent
  • Athletes must be borne between 01/01/1993 and 31/12/2000
  • Students who are currently officially registered as proceeding towards a degree or diploma at a university or similar institute whose status is recognized by the appropriate national academic authority of their country
  • Former students of the institutions mentioned in a) who have obtained their academic degree or diploma in the year preceding the event

The Ski Orienteering competitions shall be run in accordance with the most recent technical rules (http://orienteering.org/ski-orienteering/rules) of the International Orienteering Federation (IOF), unless otherwise stated. In case of disagreement in the interpretation of the rules, the English text shall be regarded as authoritative.

The program and duration of competitions are fixed by the Executive Committee in agreement with the Organizing Committee and the CTI. The competitions shall last five (5) days and include the following events:

Men:

  • Individual sprint distance race
  • Individual pursuit distance race
  • Individual middle distance race – mass start

Women: 

  • Individual sprint distance race
  • Individual pursuit distance race
  • Individual middle distance race – mass start

Mixed:

  • Sprint relay race

Each country may enter a maximum of twenty-one (21) persons: sixteen (16) competitors (with a maximum of eight (8) men and eight (8) women) and five (5) officials.

Each country may enter in:

Middle distance: 

  • six (6) men and six (6) women

Sprint distance:

  • six (6) men and six (6) women

Pursuit distance:

  • six (6) men and six (6) women

Mixed relay:

  • two (2) teams of two (2) runners (1 men + 1 women)

At the first General Technical Meeting, the Head of Delegation or his/her representative shall confirm and sign the official list of competitors accredited by the CIC.
